Dearest Spammer

Dearest Spammer,

You have been visiting my site, www.goodblimey.com, and spamming the comments section of the site pointing towards other website that sells questionable drugs. You are wasting your time. The moment a comment is posted, it is emailed to me. I check my email often, and the moment I see a spam in my comment, I use the wonderful MT-Blacklist plugin to delete your spam within 2 seconds, and it adds you to a blacklist, thus not enabling you to comment again. I delete the spam so fast, that Google won’t track it with their bots, thus putting to waste your ultimate objective.

Not to mention the blacklist is constantly updated from a central databank, to prevent your wretched colleagues from spamming me in the future. Your information, IP address, host, email address, and so on are recorded in a little file, and distributed on the internet to others who wish to block you from infecting their site as well from your pathetic excuse of a vocation.

So before you spam again, perhaps you’d like to read this wonderful piece of good news.

Fighting spam one day at a time.

Happy Holidays

I’m off to Jacksonville to see my family for Christmas. I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas, and I’ll be back perhaps Friday or Saturday. Until then, be safe, eat good food, and try to smile for those of us who can’t smile.

Merry Christmas!

Feel The Sunshine Not The Darkness

I’m feeling much better now. This morning I was in the worst kind of pain I’ve ever been in my life. The swelling was at it’s worse, I had a huge migraine, a fever that was making me shiver almost spasmically, and I felt completely sapped of energy or a will to even breath. I was told that it’d be easier to go through labor than go through an abcess tooth again. I believe that — easily. I went to the clinic down the road this morning at 9:30, but unfortunately, which we found out later, the doctor wasn’t even in yet. He didn’t even get in until 12:00 noon. I had to endure 2 hours of the most nerve-wracking pain, sitting in a hot car, sweating and shivering at the same time, trying to ignore the uncomfortable stares from people seeing my swollen face.

It was almost a fruitless visit though, as when I went in, the doctor realizing he had a jam-packed clinic filled with people needing to see him, he was in a hurry to go through everyone. I heard someone got mad and yelled at the nurses, and I was welling up in anger from all the pain and waiting myself, and was about to throw a tantrum, which I rarely ever ever do. The doctor looked at me, saw I had a fever, and I told him, as best as I could through the limited speech I had, that I was in an immense amount of pain. He prescribed me two different antiobiotics, which I’m grateful for. He also prescribed me Ultracet, which I just knew somehow that it wasn’t going to be strong enough, but I figure I’ll have faith in the doctor and try it.

I took it, and yet after 2 hours, the pain wasn’t dulled by any miniscule amount. I had a fit and my roommate called the doctor to tell him I needed something stronger, but they put us on hold for over 45 minutes. So she decided to run up there and confront him in person about it. Needless to say, the doctor was gracious about it and prescribed me Vicodin, which I had the roommate point out to him, was the only thing that seemed to have helped drive the pain away. Now I’m in a much better mood, listening to Gatecrasher chillout ambient trance, with only a dull throbbing headache to annoy me right now. I can handle that. I’m also hoping I’ll get some good sleep tonight too.

I Steal (To Survive)

I’ve put up a new poem in the Book section of the site, entitled, “I Steal (To Survive).” It is uneditted, unfussed over, and written at 6 a.m. in the morning with a fever and a little pain. It may be thought up in delirium, or it may not. I just started to go over it while laying down, and figured I’d write it down, as it’s not often I ever have this kind of deep internal reflection.

Going to the dentist today to look at this infection, and hopefully I’ll get some stronger pain killers, as the ones I’m using right now just aren’t cutting it. Frankly, I’m sick and tired of being in pain.

Home Sweet Home

I just got back in from Dallas last night, and I had a really fantastic trip. It was dulled by a bump in the road, but it couldn’t take away from 3 days of pure fun and excitement. Dallas was a beauty since I got there, clear skies, cool and breezy out, and no humidity. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The hotel I stayed at, the Hyatt Regency, is an absolute dream to stay at. The people that work there pretty much treated me like a king, and the room I stayed in was real high-class stuff.

Friday I spent the day at the CPL event, downstairs in one of the large hotel halls. I mostly hung out by the NVIDIA booth, playing games like Battlefield Vietnam, Halo, Postal 2, and Call of Duty. I was one of the first to get to play Battlefield Vietnam, as it was publicly shown for the first time at NVIDIA’s booth at the CPL. I can’t wait for it to come out, as it looks like it’ll be even more popular than Battlefield 1942, which is saying a lot. I also checked out the Counterstrike competition for a little while, but I was in over my head there, as I didn’t really know who was winning or losing, and how it all works. Maybe next time I’ll have it figured out.

That night we went out to eat at Dralion, quite easily the nicest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The menu was boggling, with foods I never heard of, and had a price tag of $60-$200 range. It is styled as gothic Chinese in a theatrical setting. The whole place was lit up by candles; in the chandeliers above, candlebras, on the tables, hanging off the walls, everywhere. Techno and trance music was played throughout the whole meal, which was right up my alley. I ended up trying everything, and 99% of the time I had no idea what I was eating. I had a nice talk with a lady from the marketing department of NVIDIA, and overall had a fantastic night.

Saturday was a little slow, not much went on, so Cindy stopped by and we spent some time together. She gave me a tour around the city, then we went to a nice Mexican restaurant, then to the absurdly huge mall in Dallas, and I got some Christmas shopping done there. And just for the record, I was a good boy. I always am. Sort of.

The bump in the road was a toothache that got aggravated and decided to spread an infection in my gums and up my left cheek. There’s a big swelling there now, but fortunately I got some antiobiotics that seems to be taking care of it right now, as it’s gone down in the past few hours. On the trip back to Florida, I had to put up with a toothache, the swelling, a migraine, and a fever. You can imagine how miserable I felt, and I could barely carry my luggage to the car. This morning I woke up even more miserable, but it seems I’m finally making a turn for the better.

I’ll have pictures up shortly, as I took a ton while in Dallas.

Off To Dallas, Texas

I’m preparing to leave for Dallas, Texas on Thursday. I got all the bookings, and flight schedules. I’ll be staying at the Hyatt Regency, where the CPL event will be taking place. I’ll be coming back home Sunday, so don’t expect any posts until Monday. I intend to have a fantastic time, and take tons of pictures, which I’ll make available for viewing. The weather looks to be pretty chilly (by Floridian standards), and cloudy, unfortunately. I won’t fret though, I’ll likely be indoors most of the time, anyways.

Last night, I rented a couple DVD’s. The first being Bruce Almighty, which was really great. Very hilarious, and Jim Carrey once again does a superb job. I wish he was in more movies, more often. You can never get tired of him. From dramas to comedies, I don’t care, just give me Carrey in it. It was also an interesting film, in a religious feel-good kind of way. The other movie was Pirates of the Caribbean, which I absolutely loved. A fun adventure that makes me want to become a scurvy, yellow-bellied mongrel of a pirate. Johnny Depp did a really good job, playing a character that was both funny and intriguing. It’s weird though, the last movie I saw him in was Edward Scissorhands, and he’s like a completely different person. All in all, I rented two really great movies, and got my money’s worth.

Capture Of Saddam Hussein

The capture of Saddam Hussein today is a pretty big psychological victory, but still just a step towards victory of this war on terror. It is exciting nevertheless, considering the brutal rule that Saddam and his sons enacted, is now at an end. Perhaps now it’ll be smoother sailing for Iraq to enter a prosperous time, and maybe finally a reformed Middle East will be possible. I think our children of the future will appreciate it, when they don’t have to worry about terrorists constantly killing innocent people, thinking that the deaths of these people will get them into paradise, which is just absurd.

CNN has the news on the capture, with information that Saddam was found in a hole carved in the cellar of a farmhouse. The hole is narrow, dank, and smelly. It seems ironic that a powerful and sinister ruler ends his day in a dark, dank hole in a farmhouse, hiding from the U.S. and allied forces. They said he had a pistol and around $750,000 on him, but did not fire the pistol when he faced his captors. That should be sign enough to his loyal followers what a coward the man is.
