I learned not long ago that my grandfather was one who went in after Japan surrendered to help bring our guys out. BoB is just about my favorite thing, ever, really riviting stuff, brilliantly told, and because it is based on the experiences of real people, the characters do unexpected things ("it's been a day of firsts, hasn't it?"). But, the History Channel is going to be showing it relatively soon. Check your local listings for dates and times. It's worth it.
