With the new Coldplay album out, X&Y, we now can breath a sigh of relief. After their previous album won positive reviews all over the globe, the 2 years between that album and this new one made people wonder if they were a fluke.
Fortunately, the album proves they’re still good. While some people feel it’s too U2-ish (is that a bad thing?), or that it’s not as first-person oriented, I feel it’s a good album that grows on you the more you listen to it. It’s hard to live up to the hype of the previous one, but this album holds up well. One of my favorite songs is this week’s song of the week, White Shadows.
