"I can go back and read what I said in the past. It'd be neat!" Except I did that recently and I felt like I was stupider in the past, and embarrassed that I wrote such stuff. So now I need to come up with a new excuse. Think I'll adopt your grandparent logic one and give it a whirl. I'll let you know how it pans out in 40 years. I dunno if it is just weird grandparent style logic.... "Maybe someone will find this useful one day" or just bonkers mountaineer logic "I did it because it was there!" My fav theory at the moment is this.... "I needed somewhere to keep it safe for my own future reference!", probably spurred on by the idea that I can find my blog even when I can't find a notebook. Maybe I just write it for the bots.... Raise the conscience level of the machines by linking a few more bits of information together, so when the machines take over the world they look at me favorably. It may be easier to decide who the blog isn't for :)) I concede that my blog mustn't be awfully good reading for people who are not interested in the exact things I do, so I don't write it for these people, simple as.
