Way back in the day, I got Quake 1 with my new computer, a Pentium 100, and all was good. It was the first 3D game ever, and it was very, very good. I have so many great memories of playing this game, and to this day it is still very fun to play. When I got the id Super Pack on Steam, which includes every single Quake, Doom, Heretic, and Hexen game ever made (plus every other id Software games), I took a trip down memory lane.
Here’s a video of me playing a level in the original Quake, trying to remember the secrets areas and where all the enemies are:

Welcome back, Miss Croft! After countless sequels of crappy Tomb Raiders, finally a version comes out that recaptures that magic of the first two games. This Anniversary edition reimagines the first Tomb Raider, the one I have so many fond memories of, and updates it with modern graphics, new gameplay mechanics, and a remastered soundtrack. I cannot begin to describe how happy I am that a Tomb Raider game is fun again.
With that said, I’ve recorded a video of me in action playing Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Click here to watch it.

I’ve been sucked back into the world of World of Warcraft, thanks to the Burning Crusades expansion, and managed to get to level 70, and bought the coveted flying mount. This has effectively opened up a whole new world in the game, allowing for greater freedom and less dying, and saved time. I also, as a kid at heart, love doing silly tricks like falling from the greatest height into the water. Witness for yourself this:
Have you ever dreamed of becoming a pilot? Take flying lessons and start your journey. Learning to fly is exciting but expensive learn how to obtain school loans. You’ll achieve your dreams in no time.

Other than the Florida Gators going to the national title game, this video of My Morning Jacket live at Austin City Limits has been the highlight of my week:
My Morning Jacket has to be the best live rock band in America today. Watching this performance gives me goosebumps everytime.

Here’s a little highlight video showing how even with limited action, Tim Tebow manages to dismantle the Tigers much vaunted defense:
YouTube has taken down this video, due to it violating copyright (it was televised nationally on CBS.) It looks like Google’s takeover of YouTube is already sending the service down the tube. I guess it was inevitable, but it’s still sad to see it happen.
Go Gators!

Before the awesome adventure game, Fahrenheit, Quantic Dream developed Omikron - The Nomad Soul, which was a hybrid action/adventure/fps/fighting game. Unfortunately it wasn’t fun in any of the genres it tried to tackle, but it was still a pretty ambitious game. For one, it featured David Bowie, great music, and at the time great graphics (no computer could run the game at full quality.)
Now computers can, and when I found the Omikron disc lying around I decided to record a movie at the beginning of the game.
